Wilfred Ndidi has earned high praise from veteran Turkish football analyst Omer Urundül, who declared the Nigerian international the standout performer in the club's recent 3-1 victory over Antalyaspor.

Ndidi, who captained the Black Eagles in the absence of Orkun Kökçü, anchored the midfield with authority as Besiktas secured the win.

The Super Eagles star’s statistics confirmed his dominance, including five tackles, four clearances, and an 88 percent pass completion rate.

"I liked Ndidi the most last night. He gave a truly outstanding performance," Urundül told Sabah Spor after the game.

Since his summer arrival from Leicester City, the 28-year-old Ndidi has been a consistent figure, appearing in 12 matches across all competitions for Besiktas.

Ndidi was recently rewarded for his fine performances by being named vice-captain, and his displays have gone from strength to strength in the weeks following the announcement.

He is expected to report for Super Eagles duty early this week ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifying playoff against Gabon, where he will once againt Anchor Eric Chelle's midfield.
