“It is a privilege if the fans believe in you. It gives me pressure to perform in order to impress them,” Odhiambo said.

“I want to thank the fans who believe in me. I will use that to keep on pushing and scoring in order to help the team. That is the most important thing.

“We were under pressure to win after dropping points against Posta Rangers last weekend. The fans turned up and we needed to make them happy. We are delighted about that.

The former AFC Leopards protege has been in fine goalscoring form for Gor Mahia this season, and the goal against Police was his third in the side’s last five matches this season.
