Giannis Antetokounmpo: Nigerian Freak scores 59 points as Bucks beat Pistons
The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Detroit Pistons 127-120 in overtime thanks to 59 points from Nigerian Freak Giannis Antetokounmpo.
In addition to being the second-highest single-game total for Antetokounmpo, who had 64 points against Indiana the previous season, it was a league-high number of points scored by an NBA player this season.
The Bucks overcame an 18-point gap in the second half thanks to Antetokounmpo, who made 21 of 34 shots, 16 of 17 free throws, 14 rebounds, and seven assists.
What a freakish stat line from Giannis.

For the Bucks, Brook Lopez contributed 29 points. Malik Beasley scored 26 points against his old team, while Cade Cunningham led Detroit with 35 points.
Tim Hardaway Jr. and Jaden Ivey, the Pistons' two starters were sidelined following the NBA Cup matchup with the Miami Heat.
Due to Bobby Portis' right elbow contusion, Ryan Rollins' left shoulder instability, and Damian Lillard's concussion protocol, Milwaukee was unable to participate.
The Bucks won the series for the tenth time in a row and improved to 22-1 versus Detroit since the 2018–19 campaign.
On Friday night, the Pistons go to Toronto, and on Saturday, the Bucks travel to Charlotte.
