Following detailed scans in Istanbul, the club confirmed a moderate ligament strain accompanied by internal bleeding. Galatasaray’s medical team, led by Dr. Yener Ince, immediately began treatment, setting a recovery timeline of around three weeks.

During that spell, Osimhen missed Super Lig encounters against Eyupspor and Konyaspor, as well as the club’s crushing 5-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt in Europe.

According to Turkish media, Osimhen will not be risked in Galatasaray’s domestic fixture against Alanya this weekend.

Instead, the focus is on ensuring he is at peak fitness for the showdown with Liverpool. The forward is undergoing intense training, and from Saturday, he will rejoin the squad for three tactical sessions designed to sharpen him up for the European night.

With Galatasaray looking to bounce back from their heavy loss to Frankfurt, Osimhen’s return could not come at a better time.

His presence in the starting eleven is expected to inject fresh energy and firepower into the attack as the Turkish champions aim to make a statement against Arne Slot’s side.
