Galatasaray reveal date of Osimhen's second debut after missing first league game

Galatasaray fans have had to wait to watch Victor Osimhen again, as the Nigerian missed their opening league match against Gaziantep; however, the date of his on-pitch return has now been announced. 

Cim-Bom had to begin their title defence without their record signing, Osimhen. However, they coped adequately in his absence, beating Gaziantep with ease thanks to two goals and an assist from Baris Alper Yilmaz. 

The Turkish forward played centre-forward in Osimhen's stead, and despite interpreting the role admirably, Galatasaray fans cannot wait for the Nigerian to reclaim his role spearheading their frontline. 

According to Telgraf, Galatasaray have told their fans that Osimhen will be available during their second league game against Karagumruk on Friday, August 15th. 

The drawn-out transfer saga meant that the Nigerian ace could not have an adequate preseason. He missed Galatasaray's preparation camp and is now behind in his fitness. 

However, he is currently on a strict regimen, according to reports, and has been training twice a day for the past 10 days, following plans drawn out by head coach Okan Buruk. 

Osimhen is not expected to start against Karagumruk and will be eased into the .team. However, he is expected to return to the starting lineup from the third match against Kayserispor.
