Former Arsenal star and Premier League winner rushed to hospital after falling ill

Kelvin Campbell played for Arsenal for ten years and won the Premier League title, the FA Cup, the League Cup, and the Cup Winners’ Cup, among other trophies.

The former Everton player’s illness was confirmed by Everton after he was hospitalised last week.

Former players of the legend have shown their support and wished him a quick recovery from his illness.

Everton confirmed Campbell's condition, which has led to sympathy from his former teammates. 

According to the Sun, the Toffees' X account posted, "We have been made aware our former striker Kevin Campbell is currently very unwell.

"Not just a great footballer but an incredible person, Kevin is, and always has been, a fighter and we wish him and his family well at this challenging time. Sending all our love, @1kevincampbell."

The Everton and Arsenal supporters sent out countless well wishes upon learning of Campbell's hospitalisation.

Ray Parlour, a former teammate of the Gunners, stated in an X video, "I hear my ex-teammate Kevin Campbell is struggling at the moment.

"All the football family are right behind you, Kev. I know you're a strong character, mate. Stay positive. I'm sure everyone is on your side trying to help you. Hopefully, you get well soon mate and you'll be back flying as usual."

Former QPR and Manchester City player Trevor Sinclair said, "Sending prayer, love & light to Kevin Campbell. Absolutely lovely human."

In 1988, Campbell made his debut for Arsenal, where he started his career, and made 213 appearances for the Gunners, scoring 59 goals.

He went on to have successful seasons with West Brom, Nottingham Forest, Trabzonspor, and Everton. In May 2007, he announced his retirement from professional football after being released by the Baggies due to their Premier League relegation.
