Nigeria's youth women's basketball team were back in action at the FIBA U18 Afrobasket qualifiers.
The young team suffered a 64-80 loss to their counterparts from Uganda on Saturday, September 8, 2024.

There were flight troubles involving the younger D'Tigress and the South African Embassy.
However, they have now spent a week and played three games at the competition.
They arrived in time but suffered an 80-72 loss to their counterparts from Egypt to start the tournament.
In their second group game against Zimbabwe, they made a massive statement with a 77-point blowout victory winning 107-30.
They were under pressure in their final group game against Uganda needed victory to advance to the knockout stages.
They started with the right intensity taking an 11-1 lead in the game.
Uganda however would turn the tides with several runs to record a 16-point blowout victory.
Resty Nanangwe was the hero for the Ugandans recording 31 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists leading her side to victory.
Nigeria now has a tough challenge to pick up on of the continents' tickets to the World Cup next year.
