The Jamaican track legend, born on August 21, 1986, is in the rare elite league of the greatest sporting icons in history, having dominated the athletics scene for a decade, from 2007 to 2017, setting the 100m and 200m world records, and they remain unbroken to date.

Since retiring nine years ago, Bolt has seamlessly pivoted from track dominator to global ambassador. With multiple philanthropic projects and positions, he's now serving as Puma’s Director of Performance.

As he approaches his 40th birthday in a few months, the eight-time Olympic gold medalist revealed he's calm on the next phase of his life and what his priorities will be.

"I hope the next phase of my life will continue on the current path. I keep myself busy with my family, friends, work, and giving back. I enjoy watching my children grow up and hope to stay healthy and happy for many years to come," he said in an interview with esquireme.com ahead of the Doha Marathon.

Throughout his career from youth level until retirement, Bolt was an ambassador for Puma, and their relationship blossomed into one of the best brand-athlete partnerships in history.

He continued his ambassadorial role even after hanging spikes, representing the brand in various global projects, before his employment as the Director of Performance.

When asked about his work duties, Bolt enlightened on what it entails and how much it aligns with his goals for promoting sports.

"I am currently ‘Director of Performance’ at Puma. I am involved in different aspects of the business in a range of sports. Last night I attended a football match in Riyadh, today I was at a running event in Doha, and tomorrow I open a Puma store and visit a school," he said.

His reality of fatherhood is one he never shies away from, especially when his kids don't understand their father's legendary status yet.

"My kids are only four and five years old, so they are still learning about who I am and what I achieved in sports," he concluded.
