Falconets finish perfectly to win WAFU B U-20 Girls Cup

Nigeria’s U-20 women’s national team, the Falconets, concluded their campaign at the WAFU B U‑20 Girls Cup in Benin Republic with a 1-0 victory over hosts the Young Amazons of Benin Republic in Adjouhoun.

The decisive goal came in the 16th minute, scored by Ramotalahi Kareem.

The Falconets won four out of four matches, scoring 10 goals and conceding just 1. They beat Benin and Ghana’s U-20 side (the Black Princesses) twice on their way to the title.

This marks their first-ever WAFU B U-20 Girls Cup trophy. The Falconets’ unbeaten record in the tournament underlines Nigeria’s growing strength in women’s youth football.
