.Both sides could not be separated after 120 minutes of football with Bruno Fernandes’ second-half strike wiping out Calvin Bassey’s opener.

Bernd Leno was the hero for Fulham, saving two spot kicks from Victor Lindelof and Joshua Zirkzee to send the Cottagers into the last eight of the competition.

After a tense but thrilling affair, penalties loomed. The first six kicks were of the highest quality until Lindelof stepped up and Leno guessed right to deny the Swede.

With Antonee Robinson coolly slotting home, it was down to Zirkzee to keep his side in the competition with the Fulham keeper shot stopper guessing correctly again to send his side through.
