Express wary of Adjumani threat after picking lessons from league-mates

Coach James Odoch has warned Express players not to underrate Adjumani Town Council when the two face on Saturday in a Stanbic Uganda Cup quarterfinal fixture.

Odoch has already witnessed several Uganda Premier League sides falling to clubs below their tier, with the recent being BUL against Police.

The coach is also happy that his team has peaked at the right moment to take their chance in the only realistic silverware on offer.

“I’m happy that we’ve picked form at the right moment to go and fight for something; we’re targeting this trophy because it’s a bit easier to win [than the league]t,” he told Pulse Sports.

“We’ll not take them for granted because we’ve already seen what has happened to some other topflight teams that were eliminated by teams from the lower divisions. We’re going full force for it to finish business early in normal time,” he added.

The Red Eagles are joint-record holders of the cup with ten titles alongside KCCA FC.

They won it in 1985, 1991, 1992, 1994, 1995, 1997, 2001, 2002–03, 2006 and lastly, in the 2006–07 season.
