Ex-Real Madrid star to join Lionel Messi at Inter Miami
Fresh off a historic first MLS Cup victory, Inter Miami are already looking ahead to the next season.
With Lionel Messi leading the charge, the club must build on their success. but will have to do so without Spanish veterans Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.
The departure of these key players frees up Designated Player slots and an estimated $6 million in salary cap space. This has prompted the Miami front office to seek high-caliber replacements to maintain their position at the top of Major League Soccer. Reports suggest a former Real Madrid player is being lined up to fill the void left by Alba.
According to reports, Spanish left-back Sergio Reguilon is a prime candidate to join Messi's squad in Florida.
Reguilon has an extensive European resume, having played for top clubs including Real Madrid, Manchester United, Tottenham, and Sevilla, where he enjoyed his most successful spell.

While sources like Fabrizio Romano have indicated a deal for Reguilon is advancing, questions remain about other potential reinforcements for the Herons. The club still needs to address the gap left by Sergio Busquets in midfield and consider a long-term successor for striker Luis Suarez.
Currently, Reguilon and German forward Timo Werner are the most prominent names linked with a move to Miami.
However, the winter transfer window could bring further additions as the team prepares to compete for the Concacaf Champions Cup and defend its MLS Cup and Eastern Conference titles in the upcoming season.
