Ex-Chelsea manager Lampard lands new job after being out for 15 months

After Graham Potter was fired, Lampard took over as caretaker manager for the remainder of the Blues season, managing just 11 games.

However, he was unable to secure the job and has been out for 15 months after leaving his last role as a manager.

Lampard was recently linked with a return to management, with Burnley looking to appoint him after the departure of Vincent Kompany, but a deal failed to materialise.

The legendary player for Chelsea and England has secured a new position as a Champions League pundit.

According to the Sun, Lampard will be a part of Amazon Prime's brand-new Champions League broadcast, along with a plethora of other former stars.

The 46-year-old, who has won the European tournament throughout his career, will be joining the likes of Daniel Sturridge, Gael Clichy, and Clarence Seedorf in a superb cast for the international broadcaster.

Having participated in the BBC's coverage of Euro 2024 this summer, Lampard won't be uncomfortable being in front of the camera.

Lampard, who has also worked at Derby and Everton, has made no secret of the fact that he hopes to one day return to the bench.

However, after leaving Chelsea in June of last year, the 106-time England international is still without a new management position.
