Manchester United's new sporting director has praised Erik ten Hag as one of the most consistently successful coaches in European football, highlighting his consistent track record and success.

Ten Hag, who led United to two trophies in his first two seasons in charge, has penned a new deal that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2026, the Red Devils confirmed.

And Ashworth, who just joined United, has revealed his delight at tying down the former Ajax boss, despite acknowledging that there are 'grey areas' that need to be addressed.
