The 31-year-old enjoyed most of her success early in her career, peaking in 2014 with standout performances in major tournaments that she was never able to replicate.

That year, Bouchard reached the semifinals of both the Australian Open and the French Open, made it to the Wimbledon final, and reached the fourth round of the US Open – the only one of those results she would later match.

Shortly after the US Open, Eugenie reached a career-high ranking of No. 5 in the WTA.

She achieved notable results the following season, but from 2016 onwards, while undeniably captivating off the court, her on-court appearances became less frequent, leaving many to lament the absence of her talent from the game.

We wish her the best in her final tournament in Montreal and a happy retirement, and hope she remains active on social media.
