Eliud Kipchoge Reveals What the Future Holds for His Running Journey
The days of Eliud Kipchoge storming to victory in the world's major marathons may be numbered, but the finish line for the Kenyan icon is not yet in sight.
Eliud Kipchoge, widely regarded as the greatest marathon runner of all time, wants to continue rewriting history and inspiring many people to run.
"I want to visit every big city to spread the movement, running as a movement. I want to go to every city to tell every citizen, 'Please get out of your door and run, '" the 40-year-old told Wide World of Sports, explaining his plans in a final interview before departing Sydney.

"Above all, I want to go all around the world, connect with people, and make this world a running world."
Eliud Kipchoge: I Want to Enjoy It
Eliud Kipchoge, the two-time Olympic champion, plans to continue doing this by running, lacing up his beloved Nike super shoes, showing up, and completing the journey on his ageing legs.
"I will just run, put myself back on the starting line, and finish in a good way," Eliud Kipchoge added.
"I want to enjoy it, run with the fun-runners, run with everybody, go beyond the finishing line, and leave a legacy."
Looking beyond his 17 marathon wins, two Olympic gold medals, and record-breaking times, Eliud Kipchoge added that legacy is not all about medals, records or running fast.
"It's about getting out of your door, being with people, running with people, setting challenges, telling people about the challenges, solving them, going beyond the finishing line, getting the accomplishment, and being happy," he added.
Eliud Kipchoge: I Represent Respect
Eliud Kipchoge also champions numerous causes, particularly education and the environment, through his Eliud Kipchoge Foundation.
He has funded the construction of libraries and the planting of forests, determined to ensure children have access to education and can breathe clean air.
"I represent consistency, I represent respect, I represent health, I represent education, I represent conservation," Kipchoge stated.
"So I'll be running every day, day in and day out, and running all the big-city marathons to tell people, 'Let us be healthy, let us keep education', whether in Haiti, Africa, Asia, New Zealand, or America. Let us all be healthy, around the world. That's what I will be doing."
Of all his career achievements, one stands out above the rest, becoming the first and only human to run a marathon in under two hours.
While his 2019 run in Vienna was not officially recorded due to factors like a rotating cast of pacemakers and laser guides, he achieved what many thought was impossible.
Eliud Kipchoge reflected that it had been 20–30 years since he started competing internationally, and despite all those beautiful years, the INEOS 1:59 Challenge in 2019 stood out most because he had truly made history by becoming the first human to run under two hours in the marathon.
He concluded by saying that people are not limited at all and urged everyone to push forward and enjoy running.
