Douglas Luiz abandons ex-girlfriend Alisha Lehmann in Italy to return to England
Luiz is thus set for a return to the Premier League, where he played until last summer before Juventus acquired him from Aston Villa for €50 million.
The midfielder left with Alisha Lehmann, his girlfriend at that time, starting a new career path in Italy, but has now decided to leave and return to England.
The Brazilian moved to Juventus and found it difficult to hit the ground running, leading to limited playing time.
Douglas Luiz set for EPL return
Juventus and Nottingham Forest have finally reached an agreement for the transfer of Douglas Luiz to the English club, reports Fabrizio Romano, via Sportal.
The deal is said to be for approximately €30 million, which was accepted by Juventus for the midfielder.
The midfielder, who left for Juventus with his ex-girlfriend Alisha Lehmann, has left her in Italy after they decided to end their relationship. Lehmann remained in Italy after a poor season with the Juventus women's team. She has now moved to Como for the new season.
Nottingham Forest wants the midfielder to fly to England today, provided all his paperwork is in order. The plan is for medical tests to be conducted tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Super Eagles stars clashed in the Premier League as Taiwo Awoiniyi and Ola Aina’s Nottingham Forest dominated Frank Onyeka’s Brentford, with Chris Wood leading the Reds to a big win.
