Victor Osimhen stole the show once again as Galatasaray brushed aside Bodø/Glimt 3-1 in Istanbul, with the Nigerian striker scoring twice in a breathtaking display.

His performance not only sealed Galatasaray’s 21st win in 23 matches but also broke a club record as he became the first player ever to score in seven consecutive European games.

Osimhen’s brilliance leaves Bodø/Glimt in ruins

Osimhen wasted no time stamping his authority, opening the scoring inside three minutes after capitalising on a defensive mix-up.

His intensity and movement caused chaos throughout the first half, and after being denied twice by Haikin, he pounced on a sloppy backpass from Fredrik André Bjørkan to double the lead.

The second half brought more of the same as Osimhen’s pressing forced another mistake, setting up Yunus Akgün for Galatasaray’s third.

Although Bodø/Glimt grabbed a consolation through Andreas Helmersen, it barely mattered as the Turkish giants were simply too strong.

'Hang it in the Louvre'

After the game, Galatasaray’s social media team couldn’t resist turning Osimhen’s performance into a viral moment, posting: “Victor Osimhen’s finishing though 🤯. Hang it in the Louvre, but don’t let them steal it pls.”

During the match, the club even dubbed him “the best striker in the world right now,” as fans celebrated his historic record of scoring in seven straight European games, surpassing Turkish icon Burak Yılmaz.
