Deadline Day: Super Eagles star seals late transfer move to former Premier League champions
The midfielder's career began in non-league football with Staines Town before he moved to Charlton Athletic.
His impressive form earned him a high-profile transfer to Rangers, where he enjoyed a successful period, winning a Scottish Premiership title and reaching a Europa League final.
Aribo then moved to Southampton in 2022, but has struggled to win over the fans, with his playing time at the club limited.
Aribo joins Leicester
The 29-year-old joins the Foxes until the end of the season and could be available on a free transfer this summer when his contract at St Mary's expires, as reported by Soar Super Eagles on X.
Aribo's arrival is the first of an anticipated three deals, with Manchester City's Divine Mukasa and Newcastle's Jamaal Lascelles also expected to join before the 7 p.m. deadline.

The move for Aribo provides crucial cover for Leicester, who are currently grappling with a midfield injury crisis.
Jordan James and Aaron Ramsey are sidelined until March, and Hamza Choudhury is awaiting the results of a scan on a potentially serious knee injury. The club also recently sanctioned the departure of Boubakary Soumare, who moved to Qatar last week.
Aribo will be eager to make an impact. If his loan spell proves successful, Leicester will have the option to sign him permanently at no cost in the summer.
The midfielder is expected to compete with Louis Page for the number eight role in James's absence. However, his versatility as a midfield all-rounder means he could operate in any of the three central positions in Leicester's system.
