Cristiano Ronaldo: Fans crown Al Nassr star KING of football after scoring unbelievable goal

Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo and his Argentine counterpart Lionel Messi have dominated football conversations for over two decades, especially regarding who the greatest of all time (GOAT) is.

Messi fans believe the debate ended when the Argentine magician led his nation to lift the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, but Ronaldo fans have continued to disagree. They believe the ex-Real Madrid man is the better player.

Cristiano Ronaldo recently scored two brilliant strikes for Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr during a game against Al Akhdoud. 

The ex-Juventus star found the back of the net twice in three minutes, with the second a wonder goal - lobbing the goalkeeper from well over 40 yards out.

Since swapping Manchester United for Al Nassr, Ronaldo has continued to break more and more goalscoring records.

The latest strike for Al Nassr takes the Portuguese captain up to 61 goal contributions in 2023: 48 goals and 13 assists.

Also, Cristiano Ronaldo (517 goals) surpassed the record for the most goals in top-flight league football history previously held by Ferenc Puskas and Josef Bican (515 goals each)    

With Ronaldo's record, his greatest rival, Lionel Messi, would need to score 20 goals to catch up with the Portuguese star. 

After setting a new goalscoring record, coupled with the extraordinary goal against Al Akhdoud, some fans have crowned Ronaldo the KING of football, reacting to a video posted on Marca's Facebook page.
