Chukwueze’s alleged ‘ex-turned-bestie’ celebrates 4 years of friendship with Super Eagles star amid dating rumours

Super Eagles of Nigeria and AC Milan forward Samuel Chukwueze recently made the headlines over his relationship life.

The 24-year-old winger was called by a number of Nigerian influencers on the X platform over his relationship with his best friend Amara Ikeme.

Amara Ikeme is understood to be dating another popular Nigerian influencer known as Asiwaju Lerry who happens to be close pals with the Super Eagles star.

However, fans were left puzzled over allegations that Chukwueze and Amara were in a relationship before the latter moved on to a new relationship.

Pulse Sports reported that although Chukwueze and Amara Ikeme were rumored to have dated, the pair were never in a relationship and have both admitted that they are just ‘best friends’.

Amid the rumours surrounding Chukwueze’s love life, Amara Ikeme, a social media influencer and Chukwueze’s best friend took to social media this week to celebrate the Super Eagles star on a milestone achievement as best friends.

Taking to her Instagram stories, the best friend of the Milan star posted a photo of a Chukwueze while captioning it with a message to the Nigeria international that read:

“Doing this best friend with you is one of the most beautiful thing I have ever experienced. 4 years of being the most amazing human.

“You've taught me a lot in life especially to stay positive and calm in every situation.

“Thank you for always having my back. Thank you for being the most supportive friend. I appreciate everything you've done and still doing. I only asked for a friend and God gave me the best human. Happy 4 years of best friendship samu.”

Amara ended her message with: “Forever my fav.”

Pulse Sports reported that Chukwueze and Amara Ikeme’s friendship is understood to have come a long way, before his rise to superstardom as the duo's family are relatively close as well.
