Samuel Chukwueze made his first competitive start for AC Milan in their 0-0 UEFA Champions League draw with Newcastle.
He arrived from Villarreal in the summer for €20 million but has seen his playing time limited as Christian Pulisic has been the preferred option on the right wing.
Chukwueze to get run of games
Chukwueze started against Newcastle but failed to make any real impact, before being hooked on the hour mark.
After the game, Pioli assured fans that the season was long and Chukwueze would get plenty of chances to shine.
“Musah, Loftus, and Chuku need to play. They were ready and needed game time. With matches every three days, they will get their chances,” he said.
