Former NPFL player Chibuike Nwaiwu has expressed his excitement after completing his move to Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor, where he joins several Super Eagles stars currently at the AFCON 2025.

The 22-year-old defender, who recently sealed a transfer from Austrian club Wolfsberger AC, shared his delight with the club's passionate fanbase in his first public comments since the deal was confirmed.

Speaking directly to Trabzonspor supporters, Nwaiwu said: "Hello Trabzonspor fans, I'm so happy the deal come to a conclusion. I can't wait to meet you guys. I can't wait to meet the amazing fans. I'm so happy to be part of the team. I'm very, very happy."

The towering centre-back's enthusiasm reflects the significance of this career milestone, as he transitions from Austria to one of Turkey's biggest clubs and joins a growing Nigerian community in the Turkish top flight.
