In a stellar display, Lauren James led Chelsea to a 3-1 victory over Arsenal in the Women's Super League, taking inspiration from Phil Foden for her celebration. James' standout performance saw Chelsea dominating the game and extending their lead at the top of the table.

Lauren James showcased her brilliance in Chelsea's decisive win against Arsenal and revealed that her celebration was a nod to Manchester City's Phil Foden.

After scoring in the 15th minute and setting the tone for the match, James acknowledged Foden's influence on her celebratory style.

 "I just do whatever is in the moment! Phil Foden has been doing it at the moment so I think that celebration came to my head," She told Sky Sports.

James's exceptional performance at Stamford Bridge highlighted her talent, as Chelsea secured a commanding 3-0 lead by halftime.

With a brace from Sjoeke Nusken and one from James herself, Chelsea's victory not only crushed Arsenal's title hopes but also propelled them six points clear at the top of the WSL table.

Speaking about her performance, and specifically the 'free role' she took on in the game, she said, ": "I think everyone loves me to have freedom but those behind me make sure I’m doing my job defensively and if I’m doing my job defensively, they say: ‘Do what you want’."
