According to The Athletic, the Blues have contacted the Foxes about Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who played 44 times for Leicester in the Championship last season.

The 25-year-old started 41 games for the East Midlands club, scoring 12 times and assisting 14.

Furthermore, Dewsbury-Hall created 20 goalscoring opportunities that fell into the ‘big chance’ category, underlining his midfield creativity under Maresca last season.

Despite not falling into the teenage bracket of recent Chelsea signings, the 25-year-old’s age falls within the reported limit for any potential arrival at Stamford Bridge.

Dewsbury-Hall’s current Leicester contract runs until 2027, giving the Foxes leverage in potential negotiations.

What comes next?

The Athletic’s report indicates that no formal approach has been made by Chelsea to Leicester.

Given Leicester’s precarious financial situation, they may be willing to reach an agreement with the West London club.
