Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola on Victor Osimhen: 'He will do great things at Stamford Bridge'

Osimhen is getting endless attention in world football, and Chelsea have emerged as favourites to land his signature, should he leave Napoli in the upcoming transfer window.

The Blues are desperately in need of a guaranteed goal scorer with Nicolas Jackson failing to impress since arriving from Villarreal.

With ongoing discussions surrounding a possible £120 million transfer for Osimhen, Zola has shared his thoughts, expressing confidence that the Super Eagles striker would thrive at Stamford Bridge.

“I rate him as one of the top strikers around at the moment, for his energy, for his ability to score and also play with the opposition. I’m sure he can be a success in the Premier League as well for sure,” Zola told Obionepodcast.

 “Of course the way, you know from what I see with Chelsea I think a player with this quality will do very well. 

“He will change a lot of things for Chelsea, positively but I truly believe that it was the right thing to stay again one more year with Napoli.”
