CECAFA U-20 AFCON qualifiers: Aldrine Kibet starts as Rising Stars boss Salim Babu names strong line up against Djibouti
Rising Stars Head Coach Salim Babu has announced the starting lineup for Kenya’s third match in the ongoing CECAFA U-20 AFCON qualifiers against Djibouti.
In a tactical reshuffle, Babu has opted for Aldrine Kibet and Lawrence Okoth to start, with AFC Leopards’ Kelly Madada and US-based Louis Ingavi making way.
Ibrahim Wanzala will guard the posts for Kenya, while Captain Amos Wanjala will anchor the defense alongside Manzur Suleiman, Baron Ochieng, and Rodgers Obusu.
The midfield will be steered by William Mwangi, Andres Odhiambo, and Kevin Wanganya, with Kibet and Okoth adding a fresh dynamic to the starting XI.
Hassan Beja and William Gitama are set to lead the charge from the flanks, hoping to capitalize on Djibouti’s defense and secure vital points in the tournament.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 4 PM EAT at the KMC Stadium and will be broadcast live on Azam TV and the CECAFA TV YouTube channel.
