There is no doubt that the road to qualification is extremely narrow for Eric Chelle's men due to a rocky start to their campaign, but Nwabali remains upbeat.

With six matches played, Nigeria sit fourth in Group C, securing just seven points and trailing leaders South Africa by six points.

Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali was the goalkeeper at the Unity Cup.

“We are working towards it. I know it’s not going to be easy. Just because we are Nigerian doesn’t mean we will win every game. But we are going to give it everything.

We still have a lot of hope, and we believe qualification is possible."

.The Super Eagles will return to their World Cup qualifying campaign in September after a packed international schedule in June.
