Bournemouth vs Luton to be replayed after Tom Lockyer's cardiac arrest on field

The incident occurred in the 58th minute of the game, with the score level at 1-1. The match was called off shortly thereafter as Lockyer received medical treatment before being carried off the pitch to applause at Bournemouth's South Coast club.

Following the on-field medical emergency, the Premier League Board decided to reschedule the fixture for later in the season, though a specific date for the replay has not been confirmed. 

Both clubs are expected to issue ticket information for the rearranged match once a date is set, as reported by BBC

This is not the first time Lockyer has experienced a medical emergency on the field. Earlier this year, he also collapsed in Luton's play-off final against Coventry City. He was carried out of Wembley Stadium on a stretcher and taken to the hospital. 

Lockyer has a history of a heart condition, specifically an atrial flutter, which is a type of heart arrhythmia. He underwent corrective surgery after the collapse in May and was cleared to play in the Premier League.

The decision to replay the game reflects the seriousness of the situation and the commitment of the Premier League to player safety. The incident was understandably distressing for everyone involved, and the quick response of the medical staff was commended.
