Boniface to lose manager as Xabi Alonso plans Leverkusen exit with Real Madrid next destination

Alonso became one of the most sought-after managers in Europe after an incredible season with Leverkusen.

The Liverpool icon led the German team to an undefeated domestic season, earning him a massive reputation. 

However, his current deal with the Bundesliga champion expires in the summer of 2026, which could pave the way for Real Madrid's move.

According to the Eurosport report, via Daily Mail, Alonso has been linked with Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid position at the end of the season.

Last season, Alonso's outstanding performance with Bayer Leverkusen led to strong links with both Real Madrid and Liverpool.

However, it's questionable if Alonso will rejoin his old team because Ancelotti's contract at the Santiago Bernabeu expires in 2026. 

It is believed that Alonso has no specific plans for the upcoming season and has not cited Real Madrid as a reason for leaving Leverkusen, where he has left a lasting effect.

One of those teams that you might think is impossible to reject is Real Madrid, but there may be more to contend with than first meets the eye.

As it stands, it is unclear if Boniface and Nathan Tella will lose Alonso to Real Madrid at the end of the season.
