Beyond Limits, Ojodu City lead clean sweep as Nigeria's quartet hit Viareggio Cup last 16

All four Nigerian entrants have qualified for the last 16 of the prestigious Viareggio Cup after Ojudu City became the final team to book their place.

Pulse Sports Nigeria reports that the home of the Super Eagles is enjoying a brilliant outing in Italy after Ojudu City made it a clean sweep. 

The City boys battled to a hard-fought 2-0 win over Italian outfit Empoli to secure progression from the group stage of the global tournament.

Ojodu netted in either half to become the second team to beat an Italian side after Beyond Limits thrashed Fiorentina earlier.

It completes a clean sweep for Nigeria's quartet in the competition as they aim for glory in the 74th edition of the Viareggio Cup.

Ojudu joined compatriots Beyond Limits, Mavlon and Alex Transfiguration in the next round after a determined victory over the Italians.

Following their qualification, it is the battle of the City clubs as Ojodu will take on Westchester City in the knockout stage.

Beyond Limits face Avellino while Mavlon and Transfiguration battle Fioretina and Rukh respectively.

Nigerian football is flying high with its four representatives excelling on the world stage and targeting a historic triumph.
