"We’re feeling good, we played very well in the first half,” noted the forward.

“The second half was a bit weaker, but that’s normal. We have to rest for the next game, which is very important in the last 16, and we can’t slip up.

"The coach is gradually telling us what we have to do, and we're getting to grips with his style of play. Today was a good game in that respect.”

Regarding his backheel assist, he proudly called it one of his best.

"I haven't seen the replay. But it was a good assist, I think one of the best I've ever given,” said Vini Jr.

“Especially as it was for Valverde, who always gives me a lot of confidence; he's one of our captains, and it's always good when he scores."
