Benin vs Nigeria: Another tactical move as Super Eagles boss Finidi George snubs Victor Boniface again
Finidi George has caused more controversy by once again leaving red-hot Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface on the bench for Nigeria's crucial 2026 World Cup qualifier against Benin Republic.
The Super Eagles head coach had claimed Boniface was an unused substitute against South Africa last time out purely for tactical reasons and due to an injury to Fisayo Dele-Bashiru.
However, Finidi has risked the wrath of Nigerian fans by snubbing the in-form 23-year-old again for this must-win showdown in Abidjan, raising serious questions over his man-management.
