Facing Kylian Mbappe in Champions League Showdown
Prior to the draw that pitted Paris Saint-Germain against his Barcelona, the Polish striker was quizzed about Mbappe’s imminent move to Real Madrid and what it meant for the rivalry between both clubs.
The former Dortmund striker explained that he relished the challenge and that he does not lose sleep over the prospect of directly competing against the possibly the best player in the world for trophies.
Speaking to Polish publication Meczyki, per 90Min, Lewandowski said, "Playing against him in La Liga will be great. If this transfer happens, I will not be afraid and I will perceive it positively."
However, after the draws on Friday, Lewandowski will have to go up against the Frenchman even before the anticipated set of clashes beginning next season, when Mbappe is expected to have signed for Real Madrid.
