Barcelona set for ₦26 billion boost from player LALIGA fought them from registering
Barcelona are set for a sizable windfall, as they are set to sell one of their fringe players to Portuguese top-flight side Braga.
The player in question is Pau Victor, who the Blaugrana signed from Girona last season. Barcelona signed the Catalan striker last summer for €2.7 million and are now set to sell him for €15 million.
The details
According to the Athletic, the Blaugrana are close to selling Victor to Braga for a fee around €15 million, including bonuses.
The Blaugrana went to great heights to sign the striker after he impressed at Barca Athletic during an initial loan spell. After signing him on a permanent deal last season, Barcelona struggled to register him, and went to battle with LALIGA, before eventually inscribing him after a favourable call from the National Sports Council (CSD).
However, he barely played during the season, with Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres cornering most of the centre-forward minutes, limiting Victor to only two league starts. He is now set to leave the club after only one season with the first team.
Marcus Rashford has completed his move to Barcelona and was officially unveiled by the club earlier today. During his first conference as a Barcelona player, the 28-year-old expressed his excitement about joining the club and how he planned to fit into the Blaugrana’s system.
