Ballon d’Or - Adekunle Gold graces Ballon d'Or award show with ₦550m watch and Louis Vuitton suit

Adekunle Gold was one of the most talked-about people of the evening because of his daring wardrobe choice.

His attendance solidifies Afrobeats' worldwide acceptance, especially after Nigerian musician Rema's appearance at the ceremony the year before.

The musician was also there to celebrate fellow Nigerian football stars, with Chiamaka Nnadozie finishing 4th for the inaugural Women’s Yashin Trophy and coach Justin Madugu receiving recognition.

The Vanguart Black Hole Tourbillon is priced at approximately $350,000 USD, which translates to around ₦550 million, making the watch the undeniable centrepiece of his attire.

While Louis Vuitton's ready-to-wear blazers typically retail between $2,000 and $5,500, prices for bespoke or limited-edition pieces, like the one worn by the artist, are significantly higher, highlighting the exclusivity of his look.
