Odhiambo, who signed for Nejmeh from Gor Mahia last week, did not need any time to acclimatise to his new surroundings as he netted in his first game for the Beirut-based club.

The playmaker scored a brilliant freekick as Nejmeh thrashed local rivals Racing Club 5-0 in a friendly match as they prepare for the second part of the season which will kick off on January 18.

Odhiambo celebrated his debut goal with a promise that will excite supporters of his new club.

What Next for Odhiambo at Nejmeh?

Odhiambo enjoyed a great time at Gor Mahia, who he fired to two FKF Premier League titles and led in assists and goals last season.

The 26-year-old, who was named Player of the Year in 2024, will hope to replicate that form as his team looks for creativity with his Harambee Stars teammate Masud Juma among those set to benefit from his assists.

Nejmeh is also home to Harambee Stars midfielder Anthony ‘Teddy’ Akumu and the Kenyan trio will be looking to help the club regain the title they last won in the 2023-24 season before a fourth-place finish in 2024-25.

The nine-time Lebanese champions are currently second on the log with 26 points from 11 games, two behind leaders Al Ansar, who they play when the league resumes on January 18.

Nejmeh will hope to start 2026 as they ended 2025, having completed the year with back-to-back wins.
