Anthony Nwakaeme: Super Eagles star scores winner for Al-Fayha

Super Eagles of Nigeria star Anthony Nwakaeme is back on the trends.

The 34-year-old striker continues to build his profile in the Saudi Professional League.

On Saturday, November 25 Anthony Nwakaeme featured for Al-Fayha as they recorded a 1-0 win against Al Fateh.

There were chances for both teams in an attacking first-half encounter.

Nwakaeme would find the breakthrough in the 39th minute assisted by Bosnian Gojko Cimirot.

That was the only goal of the game, as Al Fayha kept Al Fateh at bay in the second half to secure a much-needed three points.

The victory means that Al Fayha moves up to eight on the standings ahead of Odion Ighalo's Al-Wehda.

Nwakaeme along with compatriot Henry Onyekuru return to action against Damac in their next league fixture against Damac scheduled for Friday, December 1, 2023.
