Amorim explains Onana's absence and €75M signing's place on the bench
The Cameroonian, who missed pre-season through injury and was left out of the squad for the last match, is physically available, with the manager confirming the choice was his alone.
Bayindir once again earned Ruben Amorim's trust and started in goal in Man United's 1-1 draw against Marco Silva's Fulham.
What Amorim said
Following the game, Amorim explained his decision to leave Onana on the bench, as reported by Sportal.
"It's the kind of decision a manager has to make. I just try to look at the game, imagine the next one, and pick the best players to win it, and that's what I did," he said, amid talk of a new goalkeeping reinforcement for the Red Devils, Senne Lammens from Antwerp.
He also commented on Sesko, who starts the game on the bench. "Benjamin has been with us for two weeks; he's trying to understand everything.
"We need to be a little patient. We just want to win the game and try to help all our players," he explained.
