Al-Nassr set to beat Barcelona to Inter star
Saudi Professional League side Al-Nassr are set to beat Barcelona to the signature of Marcelo Brozovic, as they have reportedly reached an agreement with Inter on a transfer fee.
The 30-year-old defensive-midfielder was named as an option, as Barcelona are in the market to replace Sergio Busquets.
The links intensified in the last few days, but per recent reports, the player is set to become Cristiano Ronaldo's teammate at Al-Nassr.
Brozovic to Al-Nassr
According to a report by GetfootballNewsItaly, the Nerazzurri have reached an agreement with Faris Najd for the transfer of the Croatia international.
Per the report, the Saudi Arabia-based side will pay €23 million for the services of the midfielder, with the deal all but closed.
Personal terms are said to be out of the way, as an agreement has already been reached in that regard.
He is set to earn €20 million a season and will be signed on a three-year deal, a significant upgrade from the €12 million he earns at Inter.
The 33-year-old signed a two-year extension with the Blues last summer amid interest from Barcelona, and although he is on a contract until 2024, his agents are reportedly working on taking him away from Chelsea this window.
