The Nottingham Forest defender will debut the boots at the Africa Cup of Nations, marking a personal milestone in his football and design journey.

Aina’s Partnership With Sokito: From Inspiration to Innovation

Aina’s relationship with Sokito dates back to the last AFCON tournament, where he first noticed Nigeria captain William Troost-Ekong wearing the brand’s flagship Scudetta model.

That admiration grew into an 18-month creative partnership, culminating in the release of Aina’s unique boot, named ‘Mr Lulu’, a tribute to his personal nickname.

Aina incorporated numerous hand-drawn elements, giving the boots a personalised, artistic touch.

A custom ‘Mr Lulu’ logo printed on the insole and outer side, hand-sketched wings, leaves, and cultural motifs and a gold-trimmed outline of the African continent on the instep.

Ola Aina was part of the 54 players Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle released on Tuesday ahead of the 35th Africa Cup of Nations finals in Morocco.

The Super Eagles are scheduled to arrive at a training camp in Egypt on Wednesday, 10th December. The team is expected to play a couple of friendly matches before the tournament begins on Sunday, 21st December.
