AFCON 2023: Former Super Eagles captain and coach Sunday Oliseh reveals the three players who stoodout in the victory over Cote d’Ivoire

Sunday Oliseh, a revered figure in Nigerian football and former Borussia Dortmund star, didn't hold back his praise for the standout performers of the match. 

In a passionate tweet, Oliseh singled out three players for their exceptional contributions. "Ola Aina! Ola Aina !! Ola Aina!!! What a vintage, Naija like, exceptional performance he put up, as Super Eagles got their groove on to down Cote d'Ivoire 1-0.

Under the strategic management of Jose Peseiro, the Super Eagles are making significant strides in the tournament. Currently positioned second in Group A with four points, they're hot on the heels of Equatorial Guinea, leading only by goal difference. 

Victor Osimhen's standout performance earning him the Man of the Match, along with the commendable efforts of Nottingham forward Ola Aina and Fulham's Calvin Bassey, has bolstered the team's confidence.
