Ademola Lookman: 3 Premier League teams set to battle London club for Super Eagles ace
Ademola Lookman's reported availability in the summer is drumming up interest from the Premier League, as three additional English top-flight clubs have entered the race for his signature.
Lookman's availability
As Pulse Sports reported, the Nigerian pushed for a move away from Atalanta last summer at the height of interest in him following his heroic Europa League final hat-trick against Bayer Leverkusen.
The Nigerian even had a contract agreed with French champions Paris Saint-Germain, but La Dea resisted the offers, as they were only willing to listen to bids of a significant fee.
However, a recent report reveals that their stance has softened, and they are now open to seeing him leave, as they plan on replacing him with a younger player.
Three Premier League clubs enter the race
Following the report of Lookman's availability, West Ham were reported to have registered interest and were expected to make a move for the Nigerian next summer.
However, according to Team Talk, a bidding war could now be in the works after three fresh clubs from England’s elite division entered contention for the Nigerian.
Atalanta are said to be expecting about €30 million for the Nigerian, but that price could go up, as Lookman was recently named 14th best player in the world by Ballon d'Or and is the favourite to win the CAF Men’s Best Player of the Year gong.
