50 Cent and Jordan Nwora inspire Pacers to victory against Rockets
The Indiana Pacers recorded a 134-125 victory at home against the Houston Rockets in the NBA fixture played in the early hours of Friday, March 10, 2023.
The Pacers started out hot and put out 38 points in the first quarter to take an 11-point lead early in the game.
The Rockets bounced back to take a second quarter with a 31-point explosion but the Pacers still had a six-point lead at the halftime break.
The third quarter was back and forth between the two sides as the Pacers led by Tyrese Haliburton put up 34 points to extend their lead.
The Rockets were able to hold the Pacers to 17 points and cut the lead to send the game to overtime.
In overtime, the Pacers produced a 19-10 run to outlast the Rockets and get a much-needed victory as they continue their push for the playoffs.
50 Cent inspire the Pacers to victory
American rapper, actor, television producer, and businessman Curtis James Jackson III, known professionally as 50 Cent was at the game between the Pacers and Rockets.
50 Cent was at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse to inspire the Pacers to victory against the Rockets.
Coach Carlisle asked 50 Cent what he'd say if he was giving the pregame speech tonight.

He was given the opportunity by Pacers Head Coach Rick Carlisle to give the home team a pre-game speech in the locker room.
Jordan Nwora comes up big for the Pacers
Nigerian-American professional basketball player Jordan Ifeanyi Nwora was a key player for the Pacers in the victory against the Rockets.
The 24-year-old came off the bench and featured for 24 minutes. He put up 18 points, five rebounds, one assist, two steals, and one block.
He made seven of his 12 shots, including two of six from three-point range, and was perfect from the free throw line.

It was another huge performance for Nwora since he was traded to the Pacers from the Milwaukee Bucks.
