4-time world champion Max Verstappen lavishes £12million on luxury yacht after buying private jet
Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen has just made a major splash off the racetrack by purchasing a jaw-dropping £12 million luxury yacht.
The four-time world champion showed the world he's got more than just speed on his mind as he unveiled his latest lavish acquisition.
According to The Sun, Verstappen, who is gearing up for the new F1 season, was seen with his partner Kelly Piquet at the Overmarine shipyard in Italy, where they were checking out the luxurious 33-metre Mangusta GranSport 33 yacht.
The stunning vessel is aptly named 'Unleash the Lion'—a fitting title for a man who's dominated the sport in recent years.

What to know about Max Verstappen’s new luxury yacht
This magnificent yacht is no mere boat.
The 'Unleash the Lion' boasts enough space to accommodate 12 guests, with five glamorous staterooms and three cabins for the crew.
The vessel’s design includes multiple lounging areas, a spacious sundeck, and even a beach club at the stern for easy access to the water.
The impressive purchase adds to Verstappen’s growing list of extravagant toys, including a Dassault Falcon 900EX private jet and a car collection worth an estimated £4.9 million.
While this lavish investment seems to reinforce Verstappen's status as one of the richest stars in motorsport, some are speculating it could signal a major shift in his career.
Former F1 team boss Eddie Jordan recently raised eyebrows by suggesting that buying a yacht could be a sign of retirement, pointing to similar moves by other drivers, including Fernando Alonso.
Despite this, Verstappen’s contract with Red Bull runs until 2028, and the recent rumours linking him to a £1 billion move to Aston Martin has already been denied.
For now, though, it seems Verstappen is more focused on sailing smoothly into the next F1 season, where he would look to try and win a fifth consecutive world championship with Red Bull.
