2 Super Falcons stars fly Nigeria’s flag in WAFCON best XI
Two Super Falcons stars, Rasheedat Ajibade and defender Ashleigh Plumptre have earned spots in the CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) group stage Best XI.
Captain Ajibade, was named in the CAF Best XI following her important contributions. Ajibade netted two goals and provided three assists during the group stage, emerging as one of the tournament’s most prolific players.
On her part, Ashleigh Plumptre made a commanding impact at left-back, cementing her place in the Best XI.
During Nigeria’s 3–0 win over Tunisia, she was instrumental in helping Super Falcons get the deserved victory.
The duo will be instrumental for the Super Falcons when they face Zambia on Friday in the quarterfinal.
