The 33-year-old took to social media to show off his connection to his Nigerian heritage.
The reigning Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight title holder showed off himself enjoying a hot goat meat pepper soup.
African pepper soup is a robust African soup made with goat meat cutlets or chunks, pepper soup spice, and other lovely toppings.

Adesanya not only enjoyed the pepper soup but explained the importance and its nutritional value to the body as a combat sports athlete.
To go with the video was a message that said, "You are what you eat."
Adesanya shows off his meal after recently recording a knockout victory against Brazilian professional mixed martial artist Alexsandro Pereira in the main event of UFC 287.
Adesanya is not shy of his roots as he showed off a congratulatory letter from Nigerian High Commissioner in New Zealand.
Adesanya now wants to face South African contender Dricus Du Plessis if he defeats Robert Whittaker.
