After defeating Tanzania 2-1 in Abuja on Sunday, Nigeria's Falconets advanced to the fourth round of the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup qualifying tournament for 2024.
The team coached by Chris Danjuma prevailed 3-2 overall in a thrilling match.
The first leg ended last week with a 1-1 tie between the two sides.
With an assist from Esther Ajakaye, Janet Aikekoromowei opened the scoring in the 15th minute, raising the spirits of the supporters.
Five minutes later, Jamila Rajani Mnunduka gave the visitors a point after a goalmouth scramble.
On the hour mark, Comfort Folorunso scored the game-winning goal for the Falconets after Olushola Shobowale set her up.
In the fourth round, Nigeria's Falconets will take on Burundi with the winners set to qualify for the World Cup.
A spot in the 2024 Women's World Cup will be guaranteed to the overall winners.
