Nigerians brand Serie A racist for crowning Khvicha Kvaratskhelia king ahead of Victor Osimhen
The word racism is trending on Nigerian social media platforms due to a post by the Italian top-flight football league known as Serie A.
In a post on the official Serie A Twitter account, was a picture posted of the late Diego Maradona crowning Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
Along with the photo was a message that said, "A new king is crowned in Napoli."

The post suggested that Maradona now late has anointed Kvaratskhelia as the new star player for Napoli.
Nigerians were not pleased with the post suggesting it downplayed the contribution of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen to the Italian league title this season.
The everlasting No. 10 of the Partenopei is worshipped on several official and unofficial shrines and is recognized for much more than just ending the hegemony of the northern giants.
Over thirty years ago, Maradona led the southern underdogs to two Serie A championships and the UEFA club.
The enormous playmaker, a football genius unmatched by anybody before or after, motivated the Gli Azzurri to surpass Juventus, Milan, and Inter with his unmatched abilities.
Osimhen became a fan favorite even before he scored the game-winning goal on Thursday, with 23 goals in 23 matches across all competitions to push Napoli to the verge of a historic Scudetto.
Same Kvara that cost them UCL semi final spot when Osimhen was injured?

Osimhen missed the 1st leg of Napoli’s UCL q/final match and they were beaten. Guess who nearly forced them over the line in the 2nd leg when he was fit? Osimhen.

Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia have contributed enough this season to get close to Diego Armando Maradona's legendary status in Naples, despite the fact that he is still unmatched in football history and Napoli history.
This season, Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia, a summer acquisition, have formed a lethal partnership that has been crucial to Napoli winning their first league title since 1990 and realizing the aspirations of a generation of fans.
The 24-year-old has scored 22 goals in 26 league games, three more than his closest competition for the 'Capocannoniere', or top scorer award this year.
