World Military Championship is preparing me for the African Games - Reuben

The 2015 All-African Games silver medalist said she would have another chance to train for the Olympic Games and the African Games next year at the World Military Wrestling Championship.

“I want to thank the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, and other service chiefs for ensuring wrestlers in the military attended the 36th World Military Wrestling Championship. The preparations for the tournament was top notch because we were provided with all the necessary logistics to excel.

“I used the World Military Championship to prepare myself ahead of next year’s African Games and especially Olympic Games in Paris. The only wrestler who has qualified is Odunayo Adekuoroye, and it will be a thing of joy if other wrestlers qualify," she told ACL Sports.
